This note was sold by CAA in September 2000 where it was described as: "This is an incredibly high grade for any Demand note, and tens are virtually never seen this nice. It is one of 31 pieces listed in the census for this number and it is the second-highest-grade piece reported. The highest grade reported is EF-AU, for a note permanently impounded in a museum. This Boston Demand note of Jerry's (Sternberg) is very likely the finest to exist in private hands. The total now known is 33, and this remains, to our knowledge, the finest in private hands".
